The legend that is
Bryan Brown was born on the 23rd June 1947 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Bryan met wife and actress, Rachel Ward
on set of The Thornbirds, for which Bryan was nominated for an Emmy Award. The pair were married and have 3 children.
Bryan and Rachel have their own film company; New Town Films formed by Bryan in 1983. Titles include films such as; Beautiful Kate (Rachel's directorial debut), Cactus and Sweet
Talker. Bryan has also produced many films, including those mentioned above.
Bryan has won, and been nominated for many awards during his career as an actor.
He won the Australian equivalent of an Oscar for his role at Lt. Peter Hancock in Break Morant (1980). Some of his early
movies include; Newsfront, Palm Beach and The Odd Angry Shot. Bryan later appeared in the series A Town Like Alice alongside
actress Helen Morse. Bryan appeared with wife, Rachel Ward in The Good Wife and the couple have stared in several films
and TV series' together during their acting careers.
